Advanced Manufacturing Day

Manufacturing Day, October 4th, is a celebration of modern manufacturing meant to inspire the next generation of manufacturers.

About Our Programs

Jobs in machining, welding and engineering graphics are in demand! Over the next decade, nearly 3.5 million manufacturing jobs will likely need to be filled and the skills gap is expected to result in 2 million of those jobs going unfilled. Learn about our programs and how to get started in a career today: Machining, Welding, Engineering Graphics & Mechanical Design (this program takes place on the Auraria Campus).

Manufacturing Mixer

Employers in the industry are invited to meet the students, tour the facility and see student projects. Students who are graduating will wear stickers on their shirts indicating ‘graduate’ so employers can network with potential job candidates.

Why Manufacturing Matters

Manufacturing is an industry that fosters creativity and innovation while using the latest technology to make products for a wide array of needs—from every day use to sending people into outer space. Our nation’s prosperity depends on a strong manufacturing industry.

Strengthening Colorado’s Workforce

Our programs provide training opportunities in welding and machining starting with foundational courses and progressing to advanced manufacturing techniques.

The average starting income is between $16-$20 per hour. When you excel and apply yourself, you can make upwards of $25-$40 per hour.
